Born in Hakin, Milford Haven, I later moved to Griffithstown in Torfaen at a young age. I paint mostly in pastels and acrylics and am also an art tutor and demonstrator. I run Griffithstown Art Group, produce commissions and have some of my portraits published. I have exhibited, sometimes jointly with my husband David, for many years.
I'm inspired by weather events such as fleeting sunlight, rain, and storms. I love the coast, forests, moors and mountains, streams, rivers and waterfalls.
As well as traditional landscapes, I'm also known for my digital paintings and sketches executed using my iPads. In my digital works, I specialise in portraits of jazz musicians,[ I often accompany my husband, who is a local jazz musician], I have found the iPad incredibly useful for fast sketching and portraits of groups of people in cafes and pubs.
